Medical and biological properties of the
components-
The
physiological effect of Locid® is due to the properties and synergism
of the active substances that make up its composition.
Azadirachta indica contains minerals, vitamins,
flavonoid quercetin, amino acids alanine and glutamine. It is the strongest
natural antiseptic, has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory
effects. It exhibits antioxidant, antisecretory and proton pump inhibitory
properties (reduction of gastric acid production), works as a gastroprotector
and is effective in the treatment of peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and
duodenum.
Hedychium spicatum is used medicinally as an
antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and regenerating agent. Eliminates nausea,
promotes healing of ulcers, neutralizes stomach acid, counteracts histamine and
reduces inflammation.
Chamomile contains bioflavonoids, coumarins, organic acids,
vitamins, carotenoids, mucus, tannins. It has bactericidal, anti-inflammatory,
antispasmodic, analgesic and antioxidant properties. Due to its direct
antibacterial action, it suppresses the activity of Helicobacter pylori and reduces
the rate of its reproduction. Its enveloping action has a positive effect on
the mucous membrane, eliminating defects and severity of the inflammatory
process. Chamomile, having a m-cholinolytic (spasmolytic) effect, weakens the
vascular spasm characteristic of gastritis, reducing pain sensations.
Eclipta alba contains alkaloids, flavonoids,
vedylolactone, demethylvedelolactone, which have astringent, hemostatic,
anti-inflammatory, absorbent and antiseptic properties, and have a powerful
inhibitory effect on trypsin. Eclipta also counteracts histamine and reduces
gastric emptying time in peptic acid diseases.
Terminalia chebula contains flavonoids, sterols,
organic acids and antioxidants. Active substances stimulate intestinal
peristalsis, promote its cleansing, support liver function, have antibacterial,
antiviral and antifungal properties, help fight Helicobacter pylori,
salmonella, Shigella dysenteriae, regulate the work of the immune system and
lower cholesterol.
Deglycyrrhizinated licorice contains glycyrrhizic
acid, flavonoids (carbenoxolone, liquiritoside), sitosterol, pectins, and other
biologically active substances. Glycyrrhizic acid inhibits the growth of
Helicobacter pylori and has anti-inflammatory properties. Liquiritoside has an
antispasmodic effect. Carbenoxolone - accelerates the healing of stomach
ulcers. Licorice glycyrrhizinate stimulates the production of mucus, increasing
the resistance of mucous membranes to the factors of acid-peptic aggression,
prevents the occurrence of acid reflux, relieves the symptoms of
gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including acid reflux and heartburn.
Aloe vera has antimicrobial, regenerative and
anti-inflammatory properties. Improves cellular metabolism, trophic and
regeneration of tissues, stimulates the synthesis of leukocytes and interferon,
increases the resistance of mucous membranes to the action of harmful agents,
accelerates regeneration processes. Aloe vera has an alkaline reaction, helps
to regulate pepsin levels and reduce the formation of hydrochloric acid, which
helps heal gastrointestinal ulcers and reduces the discomfort of acid reflux.
Mukta Shukti is used in Ayurvedic therapy to
reduce gastric emptying time and neutralize stomach acid and quickly relieve
heartburn.
Pepper mint has an antiseptic, analgesic and
antispasmodic effect. Regulates the work of the gastrointestinal tract,
inhibits fermentation processes, reduces flatulence, heartburn, nausea,
intestinal and gall bladder spasms.
Sulforaphane contains high levels of
phytonutrients. It has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effect,
including on Helicobacter pylori, restores the immune status, removes toxic
substances and free radicals from the body. Sulforaphane inhibits the growth of
cancer cells and eventually induces tumor apoptosis. Sulforaphane is used for
liver diseases, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum, gastritis,
flatulence, and serves as a prevention of gastrointestinal cancer.
Lactobacillus gasseri synthesizes bacteriocins
(lactocillin, gassericin), which inhibit the growth of pathogenic
microorganisms. Lactobacillus gasseri has an anti-inflammatory effect and
produces lactic acid, which is involved in the protection of the mucous
membrane of the stomach and intestines. The L. gasseri OLL2716 strain is
resistant to the acidic environment of the stomach and can colonize the gastric
mucosa. Thus, Lactobacillus gasseri OLL2716 competes with H. pylori in the
gastric mucus layer and effectively inhibits its colonization. It also
increases the effectiveness of antibiotics in the treatment of Helicobacter
pylori, which leads to a higher level of inhibition of its activity.
Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17648 strain has a specific
anti-Helicobacter effect. Co-aggregation of Lactobacillus reuteri and H. pylori
impairs the adhesion of the bacterial pathogen to the gastric mucosa. Also,
Lactobacillus reuteri has antimicrobial properties due to the bactericidal
substance reuterin, which directly inhibits the survival and proliferation of
H. pylori. The effect of Lactobacillus reuteri on the eradication of H. pylori
is manifested mainly in the improvement of the eradication rate, the
improvement of gastrointestinal symptoms and the reduction of the risk of
disease recurrence.
Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 increase the
eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori and reduce the risk of side effects of
eradication therapy. Saccharomyces boulardii have an antimicrobial, antitoxic
effect and help to increase the level of secretory immunoglobulins A.
